WiredTrust was contacted by a museum looking to expand its website to add interactive services for adults and children.
WiredTrust reviewed the plans for the new areas of the website and identified over a dozen features that were deemed to be high risk. With these issues identified, the museum changed its plans before coding of the site began saving it time and money.
WiredTrust also provide the museum with a guide to some of the choices available to it. For example, as a nonprofit organization the museum is legally exempt from COPPA, but with WiredTrust’s help the museum was able to design a system that was cost effective and abided by the spirit of the COPPA law.
Through WiredTrust’s ongoing availability to analyze new features and business models the museum saved time, money, and the potential frustration of implementing a site that could have been user unfriendly.
Instead, the museum learned that some plans it had initially dismissed on its own were in fact viable options and streamlined the interface and experience for users both online and off.
"WiredTrust is one of the most important leaders in the internet safety industry. We are proud to partner with them to help to educate kids and parents about this important topic."
